Margaret Renninger
I work to create a welcoming and supportive space for reflection and intentional growth that meets you where you are on your personal journey and embraces more resilient ways to relate to yourself and those important to you. When navigating and healing from difficult or unexpected life events leaves you feeling lost or overwhelmed, we creatively explore together to find ways to build meaning from past experiences and uncover a more fulfilling future.
I use a compassionate blend of emotion-focused, person-centered, and other theoretical approaches to support individuals, couples, and non-traditional relationships. My areas of expertise include working with LGBTQ+ experiences and supporting clients through non-traditional life transitions as well as depression, anxiety, attachment/relationship concerns, identity exploration, loss, and healing from trauma.
I graduated from Beloit College in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in modern languages and completed my master's degree in counselor education at University of Wisconsin - Whitewater in 2024. I currently hold a Licensed Professional Counselor - In Training certification and am working under the clinical supervision of Shannon Doherty, MS LMFT (Lic # 918-124), & AAMFT Approved Supervisor. My practice is trans-, queer-, and polyamory-affirming.
