My approach to counseling is relational and humanistic. I find that the most meaningful and transformative changes happen when there is a trusting, authentic therapeutic connection that allows clients to explore the deepest parts of themselves. I prioritize safety, collaboration, and autonomy in the therapy room, with the goal of empowering my clients to take healthy risks, persevere, and grow into the people they want to be. I primarily utilize psychodynamic, emotion-focused, and family systems theories to guide my work, meaning I view people as shaped by a variety of factors, including their past life experiences, fundamental emotional needs, and the systems they exist in.
I serve individuals, couples, and families from all walks of life - in person and virtually. I have enjoyed working with those experiencing traumatic stress, sociocultural and political stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, sex and intimacy issues, difficult family dynamics, LGBTQ+ identities and experiences, and emerging adulthood. I especially enjoy working with women’s mental health issues, specifically as it pertains to perinatal mental health, chronic illness, neurodivergence, relationships, intimacy, and trauma. My interest in these areas is rooted in deep compassion for those who go overlooked by systems, and overlook themselves in order to survive in them.
I received my Master of Science in Counseling at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in May 2026, with an emphasis in clinical mental health counseling. This is an accredited program by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2023 from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where I also studied two minors in Sociology and Women’s and Gender Studies. In addition to my educational background, I served in various advocacy roles at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, supporting LGBTQ+ students, survivors of intimate partner violence, and sexual assault awareness and prevention on campus. I am currently pursuing my LPC and LMFT licensure, under the clinical supervision of Shannon Doherty, MS, LMFT (Lic. #918-124), and AAMFT Approved Supervisor.
